Confidence in Value Creation

Would you like to be confident that the product your designing is creating value for your users?

Here's 3 steps to give you confidence through the product development process.

1) Clarity on who your users are, how they think, what motivates them, and what they do:

- Observational research

- Qualitative interviews

- Journey mapping

2) Identify opportunities from their pain points and ideate around those topics:

- Function

- Understanding

- Ease of use

- Aesthetics

- Physical feel

- Communication with the user

3) Validate ideas with your users. You've already talked to them to understand them, now do it again to test your designs and assumptions:

- Test their understanding.

- Make an instruction sheet. Let them figure it out.

- How did it go?

- What facial expressions did they make?

- Were they lost?

- What worked well?

- What should be enhanced, reduced, or removed?

Understand how your users think and behave, identify opportunities for ideation, and test your ideas for traction.
